Re: final inspection
Dear Kevin,
You previously stated that all you require for closing is a final inspection on the house.
You're in for a disappointment.
Karen and I dropped by the Park County Offices Tuesday to inquire about the status of
our final. Seems the final inspection was again scheduled for December 29, 2000. I say
again since it already failed.
On December 29th, the house again failed the final inspection. The reason given was:
"State has not approved gas pipe. The last inspection I can see here states 'Water
and waste are accepted. Gas must be run in above grade'. As near as I can tell, the
gas is run in below grade. If this has been corrected fax acceptance report to 836-4258
and we can issue CO."
Signed G Kimsey, time 1 PM. The master inspection card was removed from the site
by the inspector and filed in Fairplay.
Actually, even with the gas correction, a CO would not be issued because of the driveway.
As of Tuesday, January 09, 2001, there is no final for the driveway and there is no final
scheduled. Additionally, a final for the driveway would fail since there is no driveway.
The building inspector's office confirmed that no final would be issued without a driveway final.
I can't imagine why NorthStar would fail to inform us, or you, that the house had failed
the final inspection. We had no idea the final inspection had been rescheduled much less
that it had again failed, until today.
You have our written request for a copy of our appraisal for 3463 Maskoke Trail, Hartsel,
CO 80449. We would like to know about how long it will take for you to get us the copy.
